Help for visitors to find public toilets

Visitors to Amber Valley are now quickly able to find their nearest public toilet with a glance at the Council’s handy mobile website.

The mobile website – which delivers an easy way to access some of the most popular areas of Council information on a smart phone or tablet – now includes the location of public toilets and toilets that are part of the Community Toilet Scheme (CTS) – in Alfreton, Ambergate, Belper, Duffield, Heage, Heanor, Ripley and Somercotes.

The toilet locations are listed under the ‘Find It’ section of the popular site.

The CTS is an innovative approach to providing public access to additional toilets in the Borough. It involves businesses that already provide toilet facilities for their customers and who are happy for members of the public to use their facilities without necessarily purchasing goods or services.

The Amber Valley Borough Council mobile website is automatically launched on a smart phone or tablet when entering
