Nordic Walkers stepping out in Belper

A new way of walking which exercises the whole body, and takes away some of the strain, is starting to capture the imagination of local people – with the formation of Belper Nordic Walking Group.

This highly beneficial type of exercise, using two walking poles to help propel you along, is also proving a great way for local people to explore the local countryside around the Town.

As the Nordic Walking sessions are also supported by the Community Sports Trust, members benefit from reduced prices of just £4 per session – which includes use of the poles!

Anyone interest in joining the Group is asked to contact or join up with qualified instructor Graham and the Group for its weekly session on Fridays outside East Mill, Bridgefoot at 10.00am. Refreshments are available after the walk.
