The Council do not offer a service to treat for Birds or Pigeons

General Information


  • Birds enter buildings to obtain food, build nests or to shelter.
  • Access may be gained via any opening of adequate size.


  • Pigeons build their nests in or on buildings and other structures.
  • Considered a pest as they feed in flocks and are responsible for the fouling of building and monuments.
  • Can also transmit disease.

Advice to Customers

  • Contact a private contractor¬†(yellow pages)
  • Look for access points - block off so cannot re-enter.
