Is your mortgage at risk?

If you are struggling to pay your rent or mortgage then your home may be at risk. It is essential that you seek help as soon as you can and don't ignore the problem.

Your mortgage or rent is a priority debt and this should be paid before other debts such as catalogue payments and unsecured loans.

You can also get help from the Community Legal Advice Helpline: 0845 3454345 (free telephone advice for people who qualify for legal aid)

If you receive a letter from your mortgage lender taking you to court to start repossession proceedings you need to go, as proceedings can often be suspended. There will also be a free 'court desk' available to assist you with support and advice.
