In December 2023 Iceni undertook an addendum to the 2022 Local Housing Needs Assessment following the council’s decision to elongate the plan period to 2040.
In January 2022, the borough council commissioned consultants Iceni Projects to undertake a local housing needs assessment for Amber Valley. The purpose of commissioning this work was to establish an up to date evidence base in relation to housing needs, in order to inform the preparation of appropriate policies and proposals in the new Amber Valley Borough Local Plan, which will reflect national policy requirements as set out in section 6 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). The evidence will also inform any review of the borough council’s housing and housing-related strategies.
