Many people in Heanor have shown a strong interest in the future of the former Science Block in Heanor. Although the building was originally considered as part of the Future High Streets Fund programme, reduced Government funding meant it could not be included in the approved plans.
With support now secured through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, we are now carrying out a feasibility study to explore what could be possible for the site and to understand which options are realistic and achievable.
As part of the study, GSS Architecture and MGAC will be developing options for the site, and your feedback will help guide this early stage of the process.
