Programme board

The council secured the FHSF Grant and established a governance structure to ensure that the scheme met the government objectives, were subject to scrutiny, risk management and the funds were allocated appropriately

The Programme Board brings together:

  • Amber Valley Borough Council officers and senior management (who deliver and monitor the project day-to-day)
  • Amber Valley Borough Council elected members (Heanor West Ward Members and the Portfolio Holder for Regeneration)
  • A Council Member representative from Derbyshire County Council and Heanor & Loscoe Town Council
  • Community input via Heanor Vision (representing local stakeholders)
  • The D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership
  • The local MP (co-opted)

This mix of partners ensures the project is guided by a balance of professional, political, and community perspectives.

The Board meets regularly to review progress, risks, and funding, and publishes updates to ensure transparency.
