The renovation phase is now complete, and the Council received back possession of The Grammar week commencing 11 August 2025.
To celebrate the completion of the restoration, we held a celebration open day on Sunday 14 September, followed by two evening evenings on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 September. These events gave former pupils, local residents, and community partners the chance to step inside and see the results of the project for the first time.
The focus is now on securing a sustainable operating model so that The Grammar remains in active use over the long term. Discussions are continuing to take place with Derbyshire County Council about leasing part of the building, alongside a third of the space that will remain available for community and business use. As arrangements are confirmed, we will publish details.
