Amber Valley Borough Council has prepared a new Local Plan which sets out a vision and a framework for the future development of the borough up to 2040 and includes policies and proposals to address needs and opportunities in relation to housing, the economy, community facilities, and infrastructure, as well to safeguard the environment.
Comments received from partners, stakeholders, and residents during previous consultations have been considered. These comments and recommendations, together with other updated information, have been used to inform the production of the Pre-Submission Local Plan.
Prior to submitting the Local Plan to the Government for examination, a period of consultation commenced at 4:30pm on Friday 16 February 2024 and closed at 4:30pm on Wednesday 1 May 2024 to enable representations to be made on the key aspects that the appointed Inspector will assess during the examination.
