Support with Heating Oil and LPG Costs

Derbyshire County Council has received funding to help vulnerable residents facing increased costs for heating oil and LPG. A dedicated information page is now available on the Derbyshire County Council website, where updates will be posted as the scheme is developed.

In the meantime, residents who are experiencing immediate financial hardship may be eligible for Crisis Payments through the Derbyshire Discretionary Fund (DDF).

  • Payments are £65 for an individual and £15 for each additional household member.
  • These payments are intended for urgent situations where residents have no means to purchase food or energy.

More information, including how to apply, is available on the Derbyshire Discretionary Fund (DDF) - Derbyshire County Council.

Derbyshire County Council has created a list of 'warm spaces' throughout the county that are available free of charge to the public. These are organisations that offer a heated space during the winter months, provide seating, and offer refreshments such as a warm drink and a biscuit.
