Council tax

We will treat all information provided in confidence and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. It will be used for the purpose of processing and administering your council tax. We may need to share it with the Benefits Service and other government agencies for the same purpose. The information may be shared with other departments in the council for the purpose of preventing fraud, misuse of public funds and any legal or statutory requirements. It may also be shared with other public bodies such as the cabinet office for a similar purpose.

Electoral registration

All information provided will be treated in confidence, in accordance with the DPA 2018 and used for electoral purposes. The information provided may be shared with other bodies as allowed by the representation of the people regulations and with other departments in the council for the purpose of preventing fraud, misuse of public funds and any legal or statutory requirements. It may also be shared with other public bodies such as the cabinet office for a similar purpose.

Housing benefit & council tax support

We treat all the information you provide in confidence and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. We will use if for the purposes of processing your application and we may use it for council tax purposes. We may share some of your information with HM Revenue & Customs and the Department for Work and Pensions to help us check your application. We may also have to share it with the same organisations for legal purposes. We may ask agencies or government departments to give us information they have about you. We may share information with other departments in the council for the purpose of preventing fraud, misuse of public funds and any legal or statutory requirements. It may also be shared with other public bodies such as the cabinet office for a similar purpose.

Insurance claims

It will be shared with other council departments, partner agencies and outside bodies such as financial institutions, insurance companies, solicitors, loss adjusters, the Police, the DVLA and other government bodies to assist in claims handling.

Parking permits

It will be used for the purpose of managing and administering your parking permit(s) and application. It may be shared with other departments in the council for the purpose of preventing fraud, misuse of public funds and any legal or statutory requirements. Personal alcohol licence

We will treat all information provided in confidence, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and only use it for the purposes of administering and managing your application. It may also be shared with other public bodies such as the cabinet office for a similar purpose.

Taxi licences
