We look forward to receiving your application for any suitable roles that may be of interest to you and invite you to read the other sections that are detailed within our jobs and careers section.

We warmly encourage job applications from disabled candidates who have identified that they meet the essential criteria for the post, and veterans and serving members of the forces preparing to move in to civilian life, we recognise the valuable contribution that you could make to the council.

The council manages all applications online. This not only saves time, money and helps the environment by using less paper; it's quicker than doing it manually too; you can monitor the progress of your application and we will be able to keep in touch with you by email. We will of course, make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. To apply for our vacancies, you'll need to register to enable you to use our online application process.

We use application forms because they help us to gain all the information needed to consider your suitability for the role; the council does not accept CVs.

If there are no vacancies available now, or if you can’t find a position that you are interested in, sign up to receive job alerts and you will receive an email when a position meeting your criteria is available.

Please inform us if the online application process is not suitable for you or if you need any assistance with accessing information in the jobs and careers section of this website, by contacting HR on 01773 841669 or 01773 841663.

We are part of the Disability Confident Scheme which is designed to recruit and retain people with a disability or long-term health condition. Therefore we encourage applications from people with a disability.
