Greenwich Park Sports Partnership

The Greenwich Park Sports Partnership has been formed, with the support of Amber Valley Borough Council and Ripley Town Council, along with many other sports bodies supporting the cause. It has also been joined by Paratriathlete, Phil Hogg, as ambassador for the partnership.

The Greenwich Park Sports Partnership group is dedicated to reviving Ripley’s Greenwich Park as a first-class sports facility and has successfully raised the funding required to build a new community sports pavilion on the park. With the group having received planning permission and completed a competitive tender process, building works are due to commence as early as June 2018.

The building is being funded in partnership by Amber Valley Borough Council, Ripley Town Council, Sport England, and the Duke of Devonshire’s Trust with other grant applications also being considered. The local cricket and football clubs have also contributed £10,000 to the scheme.

Local residents and groups are invited to contact the Greenwich Park Sports Partnership and get involved with helping to shape the future of the Park.
