Grass verges

Amber Valley Borough Council are responsible for the regular cutting of 52 hectares of grass verges adjacent to adopted highways on both classified and unclassified roads throughout the borough.

The council are not responsible for the grass verges on the following roads:

  • A38
  • A52
  • A61

The council are not responsible for the flail mowing on rural roads.

Grass cutting

Amber Valley Borough Council are responsible for the regular cutting of grass in:

  • Parks and public open spaces 110 hectares
  • Closed churchyards 4 hectares
  • Cemeteries 20 hectares
  • Grass verges 52 hectares
