Electric vehicle charging points are now available in the town centres of Belper, Heanor, Ripley, and Alfreton.

All locations are equipped with 7kw fast chargers.

Charging is priced at 59p per kwh.

Yes. You must pay and display or hold a valid parking permit while your vehicle is charging.

  • Shirley Road and Field Lane charge points are operated by BP Pulse. The Bp Pulse team is available 24/7 and happy to help. Call BP Pulse on 0330 016 5126 or email at heretohelp@bp.com.

A maximum stay of four hours applies between 8am and 6pm, with no return within three hours.

From 6pm to 8am, the four-hour limit does not apply.

At Shirley Road and Field Lane 50% of bays are mixed use (available to all vehicles with a valid ticket or permit).

50% are dedicated to EVs only and may only be used while charging with a valid pay & display ticket or permit.

At Rogers Lane East, Alfreton and Ilkeston Road, Heanor:

All eight bays are dedicated exclusively to electric vehicles while charging.

Please note: the EV charge points on Shirley Road, Ripley will be unavailable during the Ripley Fair: fairs page.
