Strategic flood risk assessment

In September 2020, the borough council commissioned consultants Jeremy Benn Associates to undertake a updated Level 1 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) for Amber Valley.

The purpose of commissioning this work was to establish an up to date evidence base in relation to flood risk issues in the borough, in order to inform the preparation of appropriate policies and proposals in the new Amber Valley Borough Local Plan and which will reflect national policy requirements as set out in paragraphs 155-165 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
