In July 2022, the borough council commissioned consultants SYSTRA Ltd to undertake a strategic transport assessment for Amber Valley. The purpose of commissioning this work was to establish up to date evidence in relation to the cumulative transport impacts of proposed housing and economic growth in Amber Valley and to identify an appropriate mitigation strategy. The evidence has informed the preparation of appropriate policies and proposals in the new Amber Valley Borough Local Plan.
