The new Local Plan will help shape the future of Amber Valley for many years to come. We want local communities, businesses, landowners, developers and other stakeholders to play an active role in its preparation.
We carried out a scoping consultation between 15 July 2026 and 19 August 2026, which has now closed.
The purpose of this consultation was to invite representations on what the Local Plan should contain and establish how the Borough Council should engage with its communities, consultation bodies and other stakeholders. This will help to inform the Council’s Community Engagement Strategy and ensure everyone’s views are taken into account.
The Borough Council produced a scoping document to assist the consultation, this document is available to view below along with the Notice of Scoping Consultation.
