Amber Valley Borough Council hereby gives notice of its intention to commence preparation of a new Local Plan for the administrative area of Amber Valley.
This notice is published in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026.
The Local Plan will be known as the Amber Valley Local Plan (2026 – 2044).
The Amber Valley Local Plan will cover the administrative area of Amber Valley, as shown on the map below:
The Council expects to commence the 30-month plan preparation process on 21 October 2026, as set out in the Local Plan Timetable
The Local Plan Timetable is available to view on the Council's website at www.ambervalley.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy and in person during normal opening hours at:
