Our climate emergency declaration commits the council to becoming a carbon neutral council, whilst supporting individuals, businesses and organisations. The following projects demonstrate the work we have carried out to achieve these goals.
Heartwood Community Forest Project – The Council has helped to obtain funding for the Heartwood Community Forest Project, and this is available for areas including Alfreton, Somercotes, Heanor, Ripley and Codnor.
