The Inspectors have issued INS07, a post hearings letter, to the Council outlining the way forward for the next stages of the public examination. The Council have responded to the Inspectors, please see AV13 and AV13a (a programme of works) which supports their letter.

Yesterday, the Inspectors concluded the public examination with a closing meeting with the Council reviewing the next steps and the way forward. The meeting was recorded and may be viewed on the following link:
The live public examination hearings concluded yesterday afternoon. Inspector's Ms. Jordan and Ms. Partington will hold a short meeting with the Policy Team at the Council today to address any action points and Main/ Minor Modifications which have arisen throughout the sessions.
This meeting will be recorded and added to the Examination Library for the public to view.
The Inspectors will then write to the Council. Their Post Hearings Letter will outline the next steps and the way forward. The letter will be added to the Examination Library when it becomes available too.
NOTE: Week 2 Hearings
The afternoon sessions for Matter 8 Environment Policies on Tuesday and Matter 11 Infrastructure Policies and Monitoring on Wednesday this week will start at 1.30pm.

New Document - OTH11 Historic England
Letter to Amber Valley Borough Council from Historic England with regards to their objection for Brun Lane Mackworth, the Council have proposed amendments to the Concept Plan which if taken forward would overcome the objections raised by Historic England.

Site at Brun Lane, Mackworth
With regards to item 2.17 in the Councils document AV07a - Housing Topic Paper, the Council was asked by the Inspectors to provide further information on the implications involving this site. The Council wrote to the Agents for the Landowners at Brun Lane for clarification, the Council's letter AV08 is attached for your information along with AV08a - the Agents response which includes a map of the sites mentioned.

Inspector's Matters Issues and Questions
We have now reached the next stage of the Local Plan Examination and the Inspectors have released to the Council, Examination guidance notes including a provisional hearings programme and the Inspector's matters, issues and questions.
The Inspectors are inviting those individuals who submitted comments at the Regulation 19 consultation and who wish to participate in the Hearings to contact the Programme Officer no later than 5pm, Thursday 7th November 2024. Please note, only those respondents who have objected to the plan or are seeking to make a change are eligible to participate in the hearings.
Respondents are also invited to submit written hearing statements directly in response to the Inspector's matters, issues and questions (INS04). Hearing statements, are to be received by 5pm on Thursday 21st November 2024.
The Programme officer is happy to receive all correspondence by email with statements attached. However, paper copies by post will also be acceptable.

The Council have prepared a revised modification schedule to that submitted with the local plan (OD07) to take account of suggested modifications made in responses to the inspector’s initial questions.
