Amber Valley Borough Council is undertaking a scoping consultation to inform the preparation of the new Local Plan 2026-2044.
The purpose of this consultation is to invite representations on what the Local Plan should contain and establish how the Borough Council should engage with its communities, consultation bodies and other stakeholders. This will help to inform the Council’s Community Engagement Strategy and ensure everyone’s views are taken into account.
The Borough Council has produced a scoping document to assist the consultation, this document is available to view on the Council's website at Local Plan Scoping Consultation and in person during normal opening hours at: Amber Valley Borough Council, Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 3BT.
Representations regarding the scoping consultation should be made online using the online form available at www.ambervalley.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/new-local-plan-2026-2044/local-plan-scoping-consultation or alternatively submitted via email to localplan@ambervalley.gov.uk or by post to Planning Policy Team, Amber Valley Borough Council, Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 3BT
All representations should be received no later than 5pm on Wednesday 12 August 2026.
