The Mayor of the Borough, Councillor John Walker, and all Councillors and Officers of the Council convey sincere condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and members of The Royal Family on the passing of The Duke of Edinburgh.
Our sadness at this time is shared by people across the globe, as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by the longest reigning Queen’s Consort. As a mark of respect, flags will be flown at half mast at the Town Hall, Ripley. Council meetings will begin with a period of silence.
Books of condolence
An online book of condolence has now been opened by Amber Valley Borough Council to allow those who wish to pay virtual tribute to His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh.
